V10 is a seller label. IWC does not use version numbers such as V10. The Ingenieur line uses reference numbers that start with IW3289. A watch sold as a fake IWC Ingenieur V10 is a counterfeit. It copies IWC trademarks and design. Import, sale, and distribution of counterfeits are illegal in the United States. A buyer gets no IWC warranty, no IWC service, and no resale value.
What the V10 label means

- Verification. An IWC boutique or an authorized dealer can confirm a serial number. IWC service centers refuse work on counterfeits.
