What a fake Blancpain 6654B is
Blancpain is a Swiss watchmaker in Le Brassus. The company dates its founding to 1735. Reference 6654 sits in the Villeret collection and is sold as the Quantième Complet: a complete calendar watch with day, date, month and moon phase. The letter B is a suffix inside Blancpain's own numbering, as in 6654-1127-55B. There is no standalone model called the "6654B."
A fake 6654B is a watch that copies the appearance of that reference and has no connection to Blancpain. The case, dial, hands and movement come from other suppliers. Sellers reuse the reference string. The parts behind it are not the same.

Where replicas differ
- Movement. Genuine 6654 watches use the in-house calibre. Replicas use bought-in automatic movements, many from Asia, with a calendar module added on top. Rotor engraving is shallow or wrong.
- Moon phase. The real moon disc advances with the calendar train and stays in step for years. Replica discs are decor and drift out of step within months.
- Case and lugs. Replica cases run about 0.5 mm to 1 mm thicker. Lug angles differ. Brushed and polished zones do not meet at the same lines.
- Dial printing. Text weight, letter spacing and the JB 1735 mark sit in different places. Enamel finish shows orange peel under a loupe.
- Calendar correctors. Real watches hide them under the lugs. Most fakes put pushers on the case flank.
